The Soilid Chair is Mixed With Soil and Fungi and Then Baked

By: Tiffany - Published: • References: papipana & dezeen
Dutch designer Erez Nevi Pana has created a chair or a stool completely made from baked soil, fungi and other natural materials, fittingly calling it the 'Soilid' Chair.

The chair was the product of the designer's childhood memories while he was playing in the parents' greenhouse. The brownie looking chair was created by a dough made from fungus and soil that has been baked in an actual oven and are strong enough so they can be sit on. The chair was only able to be realized because of a certain biochemical reaction that the dough had with the soil, fungi and other products.

Amazingly, after baking, the material can be altered in shape and shaped with plaster into other products like a chair or a table. Stats for Oven Baked Furniture Trending: This Year & Average
