Ukrainian nature photographer Vyacheslav Mishchenko's favorite projects include snail photography. He specializes in macro, nature photography and snails are definitely a part of that category.

His photos feature snails up-close and interacting with their natural habitats. Many perch themselves upon branches and mushroom caps and generally seem intrigued with the world around them. They even look like they can form relationships with their fellow snails. Mishchenko managed to capture a romantic scene of two snails who look like they are about to kiss while perched upon two cherry stems.

It's amazing that this photographer can make such a small, usually neglected species so intriguing. And even though they may be one of the slowest moving species on this planet, they appear to be one of the most adventurous!
