Taking inspiration from the 'Bring Back a Brand' campaign that ran in The Sun newspaper, the Illumination agency was tasked with designing a new snack pouch packaging for a classic British snack from the 80s.
The snack food packaging was developed for Burton's Fish 'n' Chips as a fresh take on the old snack, appealing to new consumers as well as those who remember it from its first time around. The finished design works in elements from the original product from the 1980s, as well as things that would appeal to modern consumers like a variety of quirky fish-related puns. As a result of the redesign, Burton's Fish 'n' Chips snacks achieved over £2 million in sales during just the first three months of its launch.
