Smokepaint Paints Images with Space-Like Color Palettes

DeviantART user Smokepaint produces artwork that’s perfect to expose children to. After all, the cosmic colors found within each of her beautiful child-centric illustrations would no doubt spark creativity and inspire children to participate in fantastical adventures of storytelling. Her work is so wondrous, it’s as though viewers are looking up at a clear starry night.

Another defining characteristic of Smokepaint’s work is her mastery over lighting and texture. She often makes her images look as though they’re shining and metallic-hued despite only using digital airbrushes. This is especially effective for the line of work she’s in as children naturally gravitate towards sparkly things. Her use of soft brushes gives most of her images a blurred quality, which is reminiscent of the blurred vision experienced during dreaming.
