The smart toaster oven is a step closer to the replicator featured in the Star Trek franchise. Its main feature is that it guesses what food has been placed in it in order to cook it for the right amount of time at the right temperature. That's pretty impressive considering that most people just stick items inside and nuke them all at a general time and temperature.

Created by June, a modern appliance company based in San Francisco, the smart toaster oven is able to do this thanks to a built-in camera that also sends your device a live stream video. This ensures nothings burns or boils over. If you're particularly proud of your creation, people can share the photos of the footage on social media.
