Smallest Advert in the World - Advertising on single human hair

There are few places untouched by advertising - so researchers have turned their hand to advertising in a human hair. yep that will be a singular human hair.

Researchers at McMaster University in Canada have burned their University logo onto hair using an “ion beam microscope to shoot a beam of gallium ions at the surface of a human hair, carving atoms off the of the surface of the hair.”

Is an advert no one can see worth anything - well we are all talking about it so it must be. Clearly someone at the university is PR savvy and they burnt their logo onto the hair!
