Staying in wine casks may not be anyone’s idea of spending holidays, but the De Vrouwe van Stavoren Hotel in the Netherlands is offering exactly that, with a slight twist though. The hotel offers rooms made from salvaged wine casks brought in from Switzerland. Huge as the casks are, a room can comfortably hold two people and still have space for a sitting room and an attached bathroom. The prices aren’t very high either; a room generally costs Euros 74-119, though the prices fluctuate with the season. This probably is upcycling at its best! References: inhabitat Filed In: |
