Brice Martin-Graser is a French illustrator that has embarked on a project entitled 'The 100 Day Project' where he redesigns sitcom characters into pixelated renditions. Though the illustrations completely deconstruct the shape and detail of the characters, they are still unmistakably familiar to the viewer. This is due to Graser's clever use of color that triggers the mind to remember identify the character correctly.

The drawings showcase many characters from series including The Simpsons, Power Rangers and SpongeBob reinterpreted as slender rectangular shapes that utilize blocks of color to make up the bodies and garments the characters are famous for adorning. For example, Marge Simpson's pixelated character still maintains her wild blue hair, green dress and yellow skin.

Graser's designs speak to the power of color to establish long-lasting connections in marketing, pop culture and branding.
