China's Sina Weibo is the New Twitter

Microblogging sites like Twitter have rampaged the Internet, but now there’s a new kid in town and his name is Sina Weibo.

Sina Weibo is a Chinese website that mirrors the aspects of Twitter. The site is quite similar to Twitter in that it has an 140 character limit, hashtags, and uses the @ symbol to send messages.

This Chinese blogging site has blown up in popularity with over 250 million users, and that’s just the Chinese version. Sina Weibo has recently launched an english version that has close to half a million people on it including celebrities such as Bill Gates and Tom Cruise.
