It's incredible to think about athletes who don't let anything stop them from the doing the sport they love; Simon Wheatcroft is the perfect example of this determination. He is a blind marathon runner who has recently worked with IBM in order to create an app that will help him run solo. Although it might seem like running in a pack could be dangerous when you can't see, imagine the dangers when you're all on your own.

Simon Wheatcroft's app essentially works with GPS navigation and motion sensors in order to alert him with little signals when he's veering too far right or too far left. This app allows Simon Wheatcroft to run without the help of a guide, which also ensures he can enjoy his chosen course more.
