Strum Yamaha’s new silent guitar is pretty darn brilliant - and the ultimate boys toy.

It is nylon strung so you don’t get anything like the volume you would from a normal guitar and it has no soundbox. Yep in fact it’s almost silent.

Now for the clever part -  stick on the headphones and suddenly you can hear what your playing. Perfect if you have delicate neighbours / flat mates / intolerant partner… ...you’ve got the idea. The guitar can also be plugged into an amp and comes with an AC adapter and rechargeable batteries.
