Imagine scoring the overtime game-winning goal to thrust your country to a gold medal in the Olympics, only to have your stick and glove stolen while you celebrate. That’s what happened to Sidney Crosby, team Canada hockey player, just a few short weeks ago.
After scoring the game winning goal in overtime against team USA, Crosby threw his stick and gloves up in the air in celebration of what will no doubt be the most important goal in his career. While the Sidney Crosby missing stick and glove never left the ice, they’re nowhere to be found.
All the sticks and gloves were collected, but Crosby’s were not among them. Authorities have been searching through video of the events, but have come up empty-handed.
In an attempt to recover the Sidney Crosby missing stick and single glove, Reebok Canada has offered up a no-questions-asked $10,000 reward for its safe return.
But thief be warned, as “Reebok’s $10,000 reward for the stick and glove expires on March 31,” according to the Vancouver Sun.
