According to the Dutch newspaper Spits, this is the new trend for 2008: Vibram Five Fingers!

Walking through nature on your bare feet: not only is that healthy, it also gives you a good feeling - a vibe that sort of reconnects you to your prehistorical ancestor.
Walking barefoot through the outdoors does not come without risk however. You can cut your feet on numerous sharp edges, glass and sharp tins lying around, and you can bump your toes on whatever.
Fortunately there is a wonderful solution for that; the Vibram Five Fingers. A funny shoe-concept that focuses on the movement of the foot. With a flexible sole that ultimately follows the shape of the foot and separates the five toes. Five Fingers offers an ideal lightweight glove for your feet.

It stimulates the blood circulation and it offers a good training to the large amount of tiny muscles and bones in your foot. As an addition to that, it’s also good for the joints in the ankles and knees. And it provides a good stimulation for the nerves in the feet. Something similar happens with foot reflex massage. The Five Fingers shoe offers your foot all those advantages.
The Five Fingers shoe is feather light, yet it offers a huge amount of grip at the same time.
