Nopi is a London restaurant that serves up a variety of globally inspired breakfast items, including Shakshuka, also known as a Middle Eastern egg dish.

At Nopi, this item is made with a base of braised eggs, tomato sauce and smoked labneh, which is a soft Lebanese soft cheese that's loved for its tangy flavor and ability to round out the flavors of the breakfast meal.

While it's not uncommon to see eggs and cheese combined for a morning meal, the addition of tomato sauce is new to most people. In the same way that bread is typically served to sop up the soft yolk center of an egg, this dish is commonly served with pitas or rolls to help diners enjoy any tomato sauce that gets left behind.
