On August 9, 2009, hipster artist SHAG is releasing his line of art dedicated to the iconic ride in a special signing at the Haunted Mansion. SHAG has created 13 pieces of art that depict different areas of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion ride; we’ve featured ten favorites in the gallery. On the evening of August 8, buyers can purchase the prints at a celebratory cocktail party. Will it be inside the Haunted Mansion? One can only hope… California lowbrow artist Shag has been doing a bit of work with Disneyland lately. Back in 2003 he created art and merchandise to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Enchanted Tiki Room; for Disneyland’s 50th anniversary in 2005 he created more art and merchandise (which also was used in the park’s marketing efforts that year).
