It’s hard to believe that Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion ride is celebrating its 40th anniversary next year. On August 9, 2009, hipster artist SHAG is releasing his line of art dedicated to the iconic ride in a special signing at the Haunted Mansion. SHAG has created 13 pieces of art that depict different areas of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion ride; we’ve featured ten favorites in the gallery. On the evening of August 8, buyers can purchase the prints at a celebratory cocktail party. Will it be inside the Haunted Mansion? One can only hope…  California lowbrow artist Shag has been doing a bit of work with Disneyland lately. Back in 2003 he created art and merchandise to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Enchanted Tiki Room; for Disneyland’s 50th anniversary in 2005 he created more art and merchandise (which also was used in the park’s marketing efforts that year).
