‘Hot For Words’ Marina Orlova Reaches 100 Million Views[Edit]
The people whose job titles end in “ologist” are usually on the far end of the social spectrum and I think we know which end I’m talking about. Marina Orlova is the proverbial “exception” to that rule. She is a philologist and she was Wired Magazines 2007, Sexiest Geek of the Year! What’s a philologist? - it’s someone who studies linguistics and etymology. Marina made her debut on YouTube in February 2007 where she has since then, become the most watched channel on ALL of YouTube (at the time of this post, she had 110,075,496 video views). She posts about 5-7 videos a week, hosts a bi-weekly radio show on Maxim Radio, has been on the Bill O’Reilly Factor Show - twice, and is currently writing a book. Source: hotforwords Via: today |
