The Bendable Sensor Strips Can Scan the Body for Tumors Using Touch

The team at the University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Engineering recently put together a series of haptic wearable pressure gloves that can potentially be used in the early detection of tumorous cancers as well as a variety of other scenarios. The gloves are made with a series of strips that are designed to be sensitive to pressure and are thin enough in design to fit underneath sterilized gloves to aid doctors in screenings.
The innovative pressure sensor strips are sleek and small in shape, making them ideal to use alongside traditional touch screening methods when checking the body for cancerous agents. The strips are able to bend and wrap around fingers thanks to a carbon nanotube compound that is combined with oxygen, graphene and carbon.
