There is something so comforting and soothing about this self-sustainable retreat that seems to be harmoniously in tune with the nature around it.

Located in rural Victoria, Australia, this tranquil home is designed by Branch Studio Architects. Surrounded by breathtaking picturesque views, this self-sustainable retreat -- aka the Pump House -- is cozy, rustic, spa-like and bright.

The homes front and rear walls are made completely out of glass to capitalize on the plentiful nature surroundings and give the home an airy feel.

"The Pump House is a celebration of the ordinary. Uncompromising in its simplicity, there is a rigid adherence to some very modest but key ideas about doing away with the unnecessary. Agricultural materials are put together with carefully considered old-fashioned craftsmanship to create something much more than the sum of their parts," says the design team at Branch Studio Architects.
