Sam Greig is a recent graduate of the Contemporary Furniture Design course at Buckinghamshire New University, recently designing a seating set made for entertaining. His collection, titled 'Hygge,' is his own understanding of an atmospheric sensation acquired through the engaging of nostalgic human behavior during conversation, drinking, eating and enjoying life.

Though these chairs are a simple concept, they are the very essence of his idea. Chairs that are too structured and formal don't allow for a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Instead, his collection is laid back, slightly angled for a comfortable backrest, and really taps into the nostalgia of what it's like to entertain and be entertained amongst good company.

The structure of these chairs is completely made from wood, while it features a thick cushion to counter the frame's rigid edge.
