George Clooney's Not On Our Watch organization, Google, the UN and anti-genocide NGOs have launched the Satellite Sentinel Project. UNOSAT imagery analysis and crowdsourced mapping will monitor the North and South Sudanese border for violence. "We are the anti-genocide paparazzi," Clooney told Time of his 21st century activism.

The Satellite Sentinel Project has launched a six-month test run to verify the efficacy of its methods. If Clooney and his partners are right, private spies may be able to raise awareness and put an end to atrocities in Sudan and around the world.
