This unearthed home video footage shows Sarah Palin during the swimsuit portion of the Miss Alaska Beauty Pageant. Sarah Palin has certainly shaped up since. Indeed, Palin looks better now after squeezing out a few kids than she did when she was in the Miss Alaska Beauty Pageant. After all, when Sarah Palin was playing basketball she didn’t get the name Sarah Barracuda because she was Miss Congeniality, did she? But Sarah Palin needed some meat on her bones to play guard effectively. She was a healthy Alaska girl in the ‘80s. And Sarah Palin fit right in with her peers. Incidentally, 1984 was the year Geraldine Ferraro was the first woman to run for Vice-president.  "Contestant #8, Sarah Heath. Sarah says that she wants to prepare for a career in television broadcasting by majoring in Telecommunications and Political Science. It's no wonder that she has also been recognized by Who's Who, since she has explained her leadership in all areas, from academics to student politics to athletics, having led her basketball team to the championship at the state tournament.
