We all knew that Sarah Palin lacked the proper political knowledge to be running for such a high position in the office. But hearing the post-election revelations from the McCain officials themselves, such as that Palin did not even know that Africa is a continent, takes things in a totally different direction.

Well known for being pro-Republican, Fox News surprises us in this interview with Fox News Chief White House Correspondent Carl Cameron.

Mr. Cameron tells horrifying stories from his sources at the McCain campaign about how clueless Sarah Palin really is and how unsynchronized the relationship between her side and the McCain side was, from temper tantrums and diva behavior to being absolutely clueless.

I covered this in my Post Campaign Scandals article but wasn't aware of the video -- her looks, coupled with her religious views and charm are what made her so popular, that is the only reason I can see for her nomination to the ticket as VP.

LOL Ayman, it just hit me...we did it again though we have different titles and I only covered the Africa thing briefly. But, I submitted mine quite awhile ago. Hopefully both of ours will be publish worthy. :-)

Actually Sandra, I saw and read yours before I wrote this one. In my mind, yours was talking about an "after election" array of scandals such as her wearing a towel infront of McCain campaign staff and tricking them into buying expensive clothes. You briefly mentioned the africa bit, but your trend was on the scandal not on her lack of knowledge. Mine was focused on her being clueless thanks to the revelations about her political and geography knowledge which I saw on the fox news segment. It's up to the editors if they figure this is a duplicate of yours. I figured that the "didn't know Africa is a continent" piece is strong enough to warrant a trend on it own. So if it turns out to be a duplicate, it's ok, I enjoyed writing it and making fun of Palin :).

That is precisely why I didn't flag yours as a duplicate - I love your article -- hope you noticed that I acknowledged my mention of Africa being brief and that both get published. :-) I think there is a difference too. Once yours gets published, I'll add it to the related section. I just though it was funny that we hit upon the same issue. Also, that I have thought like you twice within a week means I'm getting better! :-)

You said it! This is a sad story though, if it turns out to be true. Then you can forget tackling questions amongst fifth graders, I know kindergartners who know that Africa is a continent!
