The Sandpendel is a unique creation which uses science and design to create a unique and mesmerizing piece.  Due to physics of the earth’s rotation, a hanging pendulum slowly swings, while the tip etches designs in the sand like a zen garden.

By using earth rotation inertia, the pendulum, equipped with a steel tip, draws in the fine sand a circular drawing of a striking regularity. Pendulum reminds us that Léon Foucault-French physician of the 19th century-used it to demonstrate the inertia caused by the earth rotation movement. (singulier)
