San Francisco 2108 - Hydro-Net City Of The Future (GALLERY)
[Edit]
Futurists have nothing to lose - they can let their imaginations run wild and get publicity for many ideas and creations that will never see the light of day, like those who said that humans would fly in the 21st century. And here is another example of the future can’t-lose guessing game that imagines what San Francisco will look in 100 years from now.
Created by IwamotoScott Architecture the Hydro-Net ‘city of the future’ will house people in twisting towers that sprout out of a lush green forest, where the natives will be transported around in hydrogen hover-cars and have access to “geothermal mushrooms” that will tap heat from the earth to power hilltop steam baths (we can do with this idea in 2008 - why wait).
Believe it or not, this design has already won a US$10,000 prize for the Hydro-Net concept - so I think we Trendhunters may need to think about hosting a supplement site - Futurehunters: the grass is always greener.
