The newest honeymoon hotspot is a shocking one: Saddam Hussein’s bed. The deceased dictator’s old bedroom inside his Hillah palace has been made available to the public for $180 per night. What’s more, there’s a discount for journalists that drops that figure down to $30. It’s certainly a curious and controversial place to spend one’s wedding night. Would you want to spend your honeymoon in a deceased person’s bed?  “We expect these tourists will convey a positive message to their citizens back home that the situation in Iraq is good,” said Abdul Zahra al-Telagani, a spokesman for the tourism and antiquities ministry and a determined optimist in the face of Iraq’s continuing violence.
