The RX1R II is the latest full frame compact camera from Sony. This camera is diminutive in stature but offers big-time quality with its 42.4-megapixel sensor, 35-mm F2 lens and a pop-up electronic viewfinder. It's pretty amazing that these high-quality features are somehow packed into a camera that you can easily throw in your pocket.

A key feature of the RX1R II is its optical variable low pass filter, which can be adjusted manually and is more desirable than a regular low-pass filter. This filter is the first of its kind and allows users to find the perfect balance between resolution and color artifacts.

Indeed the RX1R II is part of a new breed of camera that is as compact as any old amateur automatic camera, but packs the manual control abilities that seasoned photographers crave.
