Take a good look at the gallery above, because these images are part of a rare exhibit entitled 'Russian Criminal Tattoos.' According to Cool Hunting, many of these tattoos from the post-Soviet prison life were forcibly removed by fellow inmates or wardens who disagreed with what was depicted -- I can't even imagine how they were removed.
Photographed by Sergei Vasiliev, 'Russian Criminal Tattoos' also includes drawings collected by Danzig Baldaev from inmates. Taking place in London, England, the exhibit will run from October 29 until November 28, 2010.
