Runway shows are beginning to see a merger of fashion and electronics. ELLE launched its new mobile phone this week at the CTIA Wireless tradeshow in Orlando, Fl. in combination with the unveiling of the brand’s new fashion collection. The fashion shows featured top models strutting the runway in the new line while showing off the stylish phones. The fashion event was supplemented by a guest appearance by Helen Houdova, a Czech supermodel and humanitarian. She was the first U.S. citizen to receive the new phone and urged the public to use it to make phone-in donations to causes like her own Sunflower Children’s Foundation. Companies who own several different product lines (The ELLE brand includes media and publishing, fashion and electronics) are beginning to efficiently combine their wares when promoting or advertising. Anticipating more cross-marketing on runways in the future is only fair. References: electronistaFiled In: |
