Ruffles: you either love them or hate them. Simple to construct, they have the ability to change the attitude of an entire outfit. Examples in the gallery range from naughty, to historical and from subtle to full-on. Ruffles have been featured in everything from history books, worn in Elizabethan times around the neck and in much of female fashion, to spicey and skimpy outfits in music videos of the current day.

Personally, if I had to choose one to wear from this gallery, it would be the ridiculously large OTT example which is nothing short of inspired.
