The UK has only gone and got it’s self a whole set of brand new coins - all of it’s seven coins having a new design and being introduced over 2008 as banks order new money.

The new designs were chosen via an open competition with a 26 year old graphic designer - Matthew Dent - won with his designs inspired by the Royal Arms. With every coin having a make over at once they now all match which is nice if you into that kind of thing.
