Angry Avian Rock Collaborations

Slash and Angry Birds Maker Rovio Team up for Cross Promotions

When you think of epic rock collaborations, chances are you don't think about popular cutesy mobile games.

Yet, through some bizarre serendipity, legendary guitarist Slash is apparently a huge Angry Birds fan. More believable is the fact that many Rovio (the creators of Angry Birds) employees are Slash fans. The mutual respect has resulted in a slew of interesting collaborations, such as Slash covering the Angry Birds Space theme. Fans can hear the cover just by downloading the game's update, which will play over the title screen. The update also includes a quirky surprise in the addition of a new Angry Bird, the Slashbird, which smashes through pig structures using the awesome power of rock.

Slash had another idea to pitch to Rovio as well, a new mobile game called Angry Bands. Here's hoping the rock collaborations between the two yields some Angry Bands for all.
