This metal figure titled OriginalFake is a collaboration between KAWS and popular Japanese illustrator Hajime Sorayama.

OriginalFake is a manifestation of one of Hajime’s paintings from 2006 and is 13" tall.

OriginalFake kind of looks like a dangerous version M-I-C-K-E-Y. Detailing of the hands and the missing tooth are especially fierce and dangerous.

Implications - Considering how the futuristic aspects of new products and concepts are what normally captivate people and leave them in awe, businesses are producing items which reflect the future and what it may bring to satiate these individuals' curiosities. With more and more futuristic concept products appearing on the Internet, it is only a matter of time before companies decide to bring these ideas into reality, creating products that is sure to appeal to the mass population.
