The Robin App Makes Landscaping Easier for Consumers and Small Businesses

Though the lawn care industry is purportedly a $70 billion market, the founders of the Robin app recognized that it was caught in the past. Since the industry is dominated by small businesses that serve individual cities or even neighborhoods, using tech to make it more efficient seemed unnecessary. The Robin app doesn't hope to supersede these small businesses -- rather, it aims to work with them to both make their operations more efficient while making lawn care easier and more convenient for consumers.

The startup centers around its app and website, which consumers can use to get quotes for their lawns based on its database of property records. After selecting which specific services consumers want for their yards, the app sends the order out to the lawn care company of choice, making it easier for companies to gain clients. Payments then happen through the app, eliminating the need to be home while the work is being done.
