The Road Warrior Weekend Went Well Beyond Thunderdome
I like the 'Mad Max' movies, I really do. I like ThunderDome, with Tina Turner (and the song she did for it, so good), but I especially like Road Warrior, with their hunt for petrol, and the wild child who doesn’t speak. So I was disappointed to learn of the Road Warrior Weekend, because I was not invited.
This one-time-only, three day love affair with all things 'Mad Max' went down in the Mojave desert. With people building replicas of vehicles and even gyrocopters, it looks like it was a real blast. The only thing missing from the Road Warrior Weekend is Mel Gibson (Mel Gibson circa Mad Max, not modern day Mel Gibson, can you say ‘buzz kill?').
