The Richard Nicoll 2014 Fall Menswear Collection is opulent and eye-catching, moving away from many of the subdued street and workwear tones brought forth by other designer menswear collections. It's fun, bright and not for the faint of heart, as these getups will awaken any soul in hibernation.

The collection holds a steely duality in a mix of matte and shine that comprises each look. A folded collar detail in flat grosgrain ribbon is a precursor to further experimentation; a New Wave-inspired series of tucked and pleated formal shirts cut in pastel silk gazar steal the show with a jolt of acid evening fun.

The highlight of the collection is definitely the button-down dress shirts. The pleated frill details are stunning not only in disposition, but in color contrast to the rest of the shirt as well.
