Little Tokyo is a urban sushi eatery designed by StudioMKZ that emulates the aesthetic of traditional rice paddies in the layout of the space. The minimalistic restaurant opts for a wood and marble themed design complete with rice plants located throughout the space to reference where the rice in the sushi originates from. The architecture of the location references the Japanese culture and cuisine in a sophisticated and historical way.

The eatery features a modern design that utilizes light beams and raw materials to create a space that is ethereal for diners to enjoy eating at. The space features floating lights, a marble bar and bamboo detailing coupled with rice plants that reference the rice patties from which the sushi ingredients are obtained from. While the design of the space is modern, the careful use of materials references the history of sushi-eating.
