British lingerie brand Agent Provocateur is best known for its kinky modern looks, not the retro lingerie styles that have become so common in the past few years. For its Spring 2014 collection, though, the boudoir brand takes a throwback approach in its marketing, showing its lingerie-clad models doing household chores in a 1950s-era suburban kitchen.
The campaign for the Behind Closed Doors collection was shot by photographer Miles Aldridge and features glassy-eyed Stepford Wife-like dolls scrubbing, cooking and suggestively vacuuming. This is a familiar fantasy world, but not one you'd expect from Agent Provocateur, whose censor-baiting advertisements have titillated fans for 20 years.
