Knits and swimwear may seem like an oxymoron; however, the Krelwear Resort Collection for 2009 blows that theory out of—or perhaps, into—the water. The forties-inspired suits are fun, colorful and beach-ready.

Krelwear follows what they call a “toobular” knit philosophy which is, according to their website, appreciated by such celebs as Alanis Morissette, Christina Ricci, Carmen Electra, Pink, and Cameron Diaz.

These fantastic retro beach photos were taken by photographer Jeffery Delannoy and styled by Jessica Bosch.
