Asus' Latest 'Republic of Gamers' Laptops Are Designed for Serious Gamers

Asus has announced two additions to its range of 'Republic of Gamers' gaming laptops. The Asus G550JK is a mid-range gaming laptop with a premium build, while the GX500 is a skinny, elegant, high-performance gaming monster.

The G550JK features a stylish aluminum design; it weighs 2.77 cm thick and weighs 2.5 kg. This machine runs on Windows 8.1 and is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor. It can be fitted with up to 16 GB of RAM and comes in 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 or 1366 x 768 LED backlit display varieties.

The second offering in the Republic of Gamers line, the GX500, is a svelte yet no-nonsense gaming machine. The highlight of this laptop is surely its 15.6-inch 3,840 x 2,160 monitor. It is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor and contains an Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M graphics processing unit.
