If you are passionate about beautiful architecture and the environment, then this 100% renewable energy house would be the perfect model for you to mimic when designing your dream home.
The 'Great Gulf Active House' by architecture firm Superkül Inc is located outside of St. Catharines, Canada.
Eco-conscious or not, this is the sort of 100% renewable energy house that should be the standard in the future. And it doesn't hurt that this 3,290 square foot residence is designed to look contemporary and sleek, as well as energy efficient.
"The design strategy considered the environmental impact of the entire lifecycle of the home from concept to performance. The house is oriented with the long roof slope...maximizing the efficiency of the solar hot-water system and passive solar gain," says the architecture firm.
