Regaining one’s virginity is all the rage amongst Muslim women in France. A quick 30-minute operation termed ‘hymenoplasty’ allows non-virgins to have their hymen re-sewn, meaning these women are technical virgins once again.  Sitting in a cafe near the Champs Elysees, the 26-year-old French-born woman of Algerian descent looks like any other Parisian. But two months ago, she did something none of her friends have done. She had her hymen re-sewn, technically making her a virgin again.
This 30-minute outpatient procedure, called "hymenoplasty" and costing between 1,500 and 3,000 euros ($2,000-$4,000), is increasingly popular among young women of North African descent in France.

| Hmm...seems we can add another thing on the list of things women generally lie about: Age Weight Height (ever wear high heals or platforms?) Hair color Eye Color (what about using colored contacts?) Skin tone (tanning beds or spray on tans?) Single or not ("oh he's my...friend" - yeah right) Married or not (look! No tan lines on your ring finger) On birth control or not How many partners she's been with. I guess they already lie about that...the 'technical virginity' thing is the ultimate version of the last lie |

| Update: Apparently according to a few of my female co-workers two more things women lie about are Name and telephone number.[br] Cant really say that I'm shocked. |
