Keeping trees alive is one thing, but this building has a facade composed of trees felled in the storms of Cameron Highlands, in Malaysia where it serves as a Visitor Centre for the BOH Tea Company, owned by the British family Ms Caroline Russell. A truly sustainable building in its own right, the Russells have been very careful to keep their hundreds of acres of tea, and hiring the right people to build this 170m long building without damaging the infrastructure and hilltop tea estate environment that is unique to this country.
