Now your old jeans can be comfortable, even when you’re not wearing them. That’s right - you can sit on them, after they’ve been turned into a cushy denim stool by Japanese sofa maker NOyes. To take advantage of this eco-friendly service, you’ll need to surrender three pairs of jeans, just enough to complete one stool. Each stool is handmade and costs ¥36,720 ($400). The crafting process is demonstrated in a video on the company’s website. Orders take three weeks to complete. Innovations in recycling are indeed getting creative. What’s next? How about curling up on this cozy stool with a nice warm quilt made from recycled underwear… References: ny-k.co.jpFiled In: |
