 The 'Just Beg' Bags Are Stylish AND Socially Conscious Published: Jan 27, 09 Comments: 1 Views: 1,686 This creative bag named Just Beg was created from colourful felt-tip markers and elastic thread. Not only imaginatively beautiful, the concept of the bag was born from a social conscience initiative. In a collaboration between a detention facility and the design brand DESIGNWISE, the bags were manufactured by female Portuguese recluses. The bags are handmade, creating one of a kind, exclusive accessories. Just Beg was conceived by the Angola-born designer Naulila Luís, part of the unique Portuguese brand DESIGNWISE.  DESIGNWISE is not a specialized collection, nor is it dedicated to a specific category of objects. Its products span different scales and universes: of materials, uses and price. What gives unity to these apparently diverse objects is the fact that they all "tell a story", often with unexpected humour. These stories may be imagined by the designer, or simply created by the users when they appropriate the objects into their own personal universes.
