Receptionist Robots (FOLLOW UP) - Wakamaru (VIDEO)

Are receptionist robots the next big thing? This is the fourth receptionist robot Trend Hunter has discovered. Read the others HERE, HERE and HERE.
People Staff, a temporary staffing agency based in Nagoya, Japan, has just hired 10 robots that they will put to work in the Tokai area. Wakamarus were originally made by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for family fun or domestic use. Now, secretaries are one step closer (or should I say, one wheel revolution closer) to losing their jobs.
The Wakamaru's skills include face recognition (search for and follow faces), basic manual tasks, good listener (voice recognition capabilities), verbal skills with customers (vocabulary of 10,000 words), sings cheerful songs and can escort visitors to different destinations.
