Reanim by Studio 5.5 Gives Discarded Items a Second Chance

Reanim by Studio 5.5, a design firm based in Paris, France, is a furniture line comprised of resuscitated rejected furniture pieces. But they weren't given a second chance at life in the typical way. Instead of breaking them down to reuse the material in traditional ways, the designers patched them up as though they were patients in a hospital.

Rescued from dumps, streets and people’s homes, the pieces making up Reanim by Studio 5.5 encourage people to rethink why and what they discarded in the first place. Of course, the saying, 'What is one man's garbage is another's treasure,' does ring true in many cases.

The designs of Reanim by Studio 5.5 are accented with neon green material, which make reference to the garbage trucks in France. Stats for Resuscitated Rejected Furniture Trending: Older & Buzzing
