Real Glow-in-the-Dark Cats

Talk about a unique pet! Specialty pets is nothing new, but Korean scientists have taken things to a whole new level, with cats that glow-in-the-dark. The cats were cloned, after working to study genetic treatments for a variety of disorders. I don’t know if these will make it into the average pet store, but either way it is something that definitely redefines a unique pet.  South Korean scientists have cloned cats by manipulating a fluorescent protein gene, a procedure which could help develop treatments for human genetic diseases, officials said today. In a side-effect, the cloned cats glow in the dark when exposed to ultraviolet beams.
