Clive Darby thought of Robert Redford for the Rake Fall 2014 Menswear Collection, specifically his role in the 1969 film Downhill Racer. In the film he played an American skier roving the Tyrolean mountains of Austria, lending itself generously to the array of textures and pale winter color found in Rake's most recent menswear.

The alpine reference is largely detected by Tyrolean hats and evergreen filament arranged in an appliqué. Mealy gray and mustard tones are grounded by deep brown deerskin jackets, while pheasant feathers adorn several looks appearing as lapel pins and long keychains suspended at the hips.

The collection is warm and winter-ready, featuring a number of cold-weather numbers like turtlenecks and multi-layered shirts under three-piece suits.
