New vehicles are being equipped with Collision Avoidance Systems more than ever, so the iLumaware Shield TL looks to make use of the radar systems on vehicles to help decrease accidents. The iLumaware Shield TL works simply by operating as a rear light on a bicycle; when in operation, the light signature makes the cyclist more visible to vehicular systems from further away.

Funding now on Kickstarter, the iLumaware Shield TL is the design work of Chris Mogridge and Alexis Stobbe. The device features an 80-lumen light that features a rechargeable battery pack built-in. This allows the unit to operate up to 76-hours in Strobe mode or 25-hours in High mode to ensure cyclists are always seen both through radar systems and visually.
