I've been meaning to get myself a decent R2D2 figurine for awhile now, but I might as well wait for this R2D2 Planetarium toy as it'll let me project images of stars on my wall.
Debuting at the Tokyo International Toy Show, this robot sidekick figurine doesn't just illuminate blips of light randomly, it actually projects our very own Milky Way galaxy. It won't be entirely accurate however as there'll be a few Death Stars hovering around and I'm pretty sure we haven't achieved that level of technology yet.
The R2D2 Planetarium is also surprisingly affordable at just $87, so even if you aren't a fan of Star Wars, it can be a half decent teaching utensil for students studying the solar system and our galaxy.
